GC deletions.

Is there any way to change the notification for thread deletions in General Chat? Right now it makes it look like any other deleted post and makes you think you made a bad post and you are in trouble. Especially someone who does not know they get deleted. I hope it is possible.

unfortunately that's a blanket email that covers the entire forums. I know it makes ya feel like you just royally screwed up, but ignore it for now. :rolleyes:

I can ignore it but it does not look good to those that do not know about it. I wonder what we can to let people know about it so they don't get upset or think they did something wrong.. Anyone have any ideas?

Yea.. what gives shadow?? you Deleted the Chicago Overclockers thread with over 100 posts..

How is that not in the guidlines of that general forum? Its chicago ppl.. its overclockers.. its a way to converse with fellow chicago OCers.. How was that not following guidelines or off topic?

Perhaps I am missing something but how is a thread that allows local board members a chance to know who is local to them for gathers.. get togethers or whatever.. not the purpose of even the General Chat which is where it ended up yet empty threads w/o a single response still sit there?

It may have been on page 2 or 3 at the time.. but age apparently dosen't matter or pages 4-6+ would have been deleted first.. I mean on page 5 of the GC there is a thread with 0 comments but tis still sitting there

you need to take a vacation.......and rid some stress.

NONE of the threads are deleted untill they hit page 4 at least.

For that matter.......it was up to page 6 tonight and I only deleted back to page 5 or so.

you don't like your thread getting deleted.......keep it current. And I don't mean with bumps.

oh and btw.......there's been MANY threads with well over 200 posts to be deleted......you felt yours was more special? :rolleyes:

shadows right. my desktop v5001 whatever thread was toasted tonight it was at least 5 pages long.

am i upset? no. cause if its in gen chat it will eventually be deleted. i knew it would be deleted before i even posted it.
