I'm just wondering how strong (permanent) it is and how well it conducts heat.

yes it works and it is on there solid. you can mix it with AS2 and it will come off but I haven't done this myself so be careful with it.

oh it is permanent so pernanent that i accidently used it on my chip and when i wanted to take it off the chip broke into half

So I'm guessing it will hold a small waterblock on my GeForce3 ram (though returning it afterwards might present a problem.

i used it to attach the northbridge and a waterblock together. I took the waterblock off, and the northbridge came with it. So yeah, its permanent. The best tip is to use a few drops of super glue in each corner and use asII in the middle.

just for the fun of it i cracked the ceramic into 4 parts anybody want a Peice...LOL
