I just installed a Radeon 9700 Pro in my system and when I go to boot off CD(using XP Pro) I get a blank blue screen with what looks like missing text in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
I have removed the Nvidia drivers I had in the system before from my Ti 4600. The card seems to work fine (using the latest ATI drivers) but I cannot reformat the hardrive. My system specs are as follows- Asus P4B533-E, P-4 2.53GHz, Antec 1080B with 430 watt power supply, SB Audigy Platnium EX, Maxtor 80gb 7200rpm hardrive, 2x512mb Corsair PC3200, Windows XP Pro. I have also installed the power connector to the card from the hardrive just as instructed. On a positive note the card is a beast, higher resolutions and higher filtering settings do not seem to make this card flinch. I also need to find out about that revision number, where can I find it on the card?

what do you mean you cant reformat? your computer wont allow it, or you have important data that you cant back up?

It will not let me do a fresh Windows install. The first screen you get when booting off the CD asks if you accept Microsoft's licensing agreement (then hit F-8), the problem I have is that there is no text displayed on this screen. I only get the blue screen and cut off text in the upper left hand corner?

I just took the video card out and looked for revision numbers. On the fan side of the card painted on the board the only numbers I could find are: PN 109-94200-11. On the smooth side of the card printed on a white sticker I have: S/N 180241 000983,
then under this is: P/N 1029420613 066185. Is this a new board or the older version?
