what do you guys think i should get concerning length and internel width?

i am using a compressor out of a standard size frige, my own custom extermly large condensor, and evaporator, i have a filter/dryer thing and a sight glass also.

the compressor does not have any HP ratings or wattage usage on it so i do not know exactly what to use, however i do have a piece of the original capilary tube so i am thinking it is probably best to use that internal size, but how long should i get it?

how long are you guys using with standard size frige compressors? i realise this is kind of a "ballpark" question so bear with me:)

also where can i get cheap oil for the refrigeration system sence i am using propayne, and what type of oil should be used with propayne?

i did try to search the forum for my answers but there is so many topics on this that its to much information to dig though, i spent 45 minutes digging and didnt find my answers.:)

i have been doing a crazy ammount of reading on the subject but i never see anyonre address the issues of capilary tube size etc..

cap can be from .31 id to .26 id and length needs to be longer as you get a larger id cap. .31 maybe 6-10' and .26 maybe 5-8'. If you are using a large evap thin you should maybe go with the .31 id cap and maybe 8' long.

haha no

you need to find a hvac store in your area or order online somewhere like www.rparts.com

I never new I had one before I looked in the yellow pages under refrigeration repair or something like that.

Supco makes most of the Captubes used today...
There is a chart on the back as well as one in the box.. Captubes are sized according to Compressor HP, Refrigerant type, and Evap temp. Now the Evap temp is listed as High (Air Conditioning)
Medium (Normal Refrigeration Temps 35-45F) and Low (Freezer Temps neg.10 - 10F). Some also show Ultra Low (Blast Freezer
neg.40 - neg.20F)

Johnstone would be your best bet.. they'll sell to anyone.
Just remember the Company is Supco.. Also know as Billet.

Johnstone also should have or beable to get you the New Automotive style access valves.. But why would you want to spend that kind of money. A reg gauge set is cheaper.

well i already have the automotive guages and filler hoses , thats why i would want to use automotive stile filler valves in the refrigeration unit im making.

and my vacuum pump has auto stile hookups.

(i do some automotive a/c tinkering like running propain in my car etc)

Well these schrader valves are the same as automotive, so I am not sure what you are talking about.Unless you mean new R134a automotive. You have to get adapters for those stupid fittings.
