7V Mod For 3pin type fan?

Is there a way to mod my svc Delta 38 fan without the 3 pin to 4 pin adapter?
Can i like i cut a regular 4 pin connector off my psu and wire it into the fan or something?

yeah u could do that i think all u would have to do is cut the black and blue wires off the 3 pin connector and then leave the RPM moniotring pin on the 3 pin connector then take the blue wire and attach it to the yellow and then take the black and attach to the red

Hey thanx for the info.
I just cut the black wire off my fan and wired it into a red wire from a free 4 pin plug off the psu.
Works like a charm!!
NO noise and only a 1c difference!!!
