Does anyone know what the differnce is in the Belkin fire wire you would get at a Best Buy for ex. for $45.00 from the ones that a guy on Ebay is selling for $3.49 ea?

perhaps insulation, although that is not much of a factor, while firewire is fast it has it limitaions, especially the length it can run, don't see why you would invest 10x the amount for something that's can't promise 10x the results...

nothing. the best buy wires are marked up about 500%. its the biggest ripoff you can possibly imagine.

firewire only runs so many feet before it slows down to crap, so go with the cheaper cables.
