View Full Version : p201/p209 frame times anyone?
This just may be how these projects are, but p201 and p209 are killing me. My p4-1.4 is averaging about 17 minutes a frame on the last two wu's. No other apps sapping cpu cycles..
BTW - it was way to easy to get near the top 100. I'll be there soon. Would someone please make this more difficult by FOLDING MORE MORE MORE? If it has a plug coming out of it, ask yourself, "will it fold???" :D

Tinker / Pentium strikes again! I simply must bring more AMD boxes into the fold. I looked back and my one athalon box is plowing through the same WU with similar times to yours.
Thanks for the info, guys.

Yep, intel can't touch those times.
And AMD costs less, too! :cool:

On my xp2400 @ 2110 my times are:
201 = 5:30
209 = 7:40
Dual XP1600@1.575 gets 7:11 for both types.
XP2000@1.80 gets 6:00 for both.
I've got a bunch others I'll check later and edit in when I get time.

My 1.4@1.6 Tualatin's are doing the p201/p209 in about 9:10 per frame. I'm somewhat surprised that they beat the P4's, but of course they are still slower than the XP's.

Williamette core correct?
I'm at 1.74ghz and using GTS's statistics, I'm looking to get 6mins 20secs or around there.
I'm still getting P184 and P185's.

I don't get it, I'm running an amd 1800+ (not overclocked cuz I'm a wuss) and I'm getting like 10-11 minutes a frame on p185... is it just because I'm not overclocked?

I get alittle under 11 mins a frame with my Duron @ 1200 mhz stock, 100 mhz FSB. So an Athlon XP1800 doing it in about the same time is not a good sign. If your using windows XP go into the task manager and make sure your core is getting 96 to 99% of the CPU cycle. IF you dont have winXP download ATM (a task manager type shareware program) on cnet and check. Also turn off any non essential programs.

I'm running Win2kPro, and it's getting 96-99% of the CPU time, all I've been doing is watching movies... uh oh, something just beeped at me.. g2g.
<edit>
NVM, I just figured out that WMA uses about 10-15% of my CPU... so that's probably it... I hope. Anyway, I should be ok since I'm going out of town for a couple of days, oughta turn in a few WUs this week.

For both p201 and p209, my dual XP2000@1750 does them at 6:16 per frame, according to EM3.

I'm using the graphical client BTW... get a 3rd party folding monitor like EMIII or FoldingMonitor (i suggest EMIII http://home.attbi.com/~wxdude1/emsite/ ) or you could look in your log and just do the math :p
