i was just curious if there was a way that i could back up files on my computer back home and store them on my computer here at school... that way i have a safe copy of the data back home... is there any way that i can map a network drive so the drive at home shows up on my computer here at school? i figured that way i could back up the data that way... the only connection the two computer have is the internet.. i am on a hella fast connection here at school and my dad has a cable modem so it's always connected... if not, that's cool, but i was just checkin :) i was just thinking there might be a temporary solution until i can get my dad's fileserver built.
