I recently installed quicktime and later uninstalled it, but i still get a quicktime icon in the system tray after startup. I cant figure out how to get rid of this. Can anyone help?
Run "msconfig", hit the Startup box, and uncheck the option for Quicktime.

if that dosnt work you can go into registry (run- regedit) and navigat e to...
HKEY_CURRENTUSER - software - microsoft - winodws - current version - run -
and look for the keys ont eh right... if it is there delet the key =) also check the smae path but with
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -
instead of...
HKEY_CURRENT_USER -
:D :eh?: :D

There's no fun in doing it that way. :)
Run msconfig or hack the registry. It's the cool thing to do. :D

Sorry for the late response. I wrote this before thanksgiving and completely forgot about it.
as CPFitz14 said i couldnt get into preferances and im running windows 2000 so i dont have msconfig. I did remove it from the registry, that fixed it. thanks CrashOveride
If you need msconfig, you can use the one from XP, found here;
