I want to try and overclock my XP 2400 T-bred a little.
I have an ASUS A7V333 motherboard (Rev 1.2 I think).
Right now I am clocking at 15x 140. I have Samsung PC3200 memory at STD setting of 2-2-2-6.

Question: Can I unlock the processor? Should I lower the mutliplier and up the front bus. Can I lower the Multiplier, and how low?

Suggestions?

At stock, can I set the multiplier lower? How low?

Just connect the 5th L3 bridge to gain access of the lower multipilers(5x-12.5x). Use the normal unlock method, or just do a horseshoe around the pit:D

Geo,
Why run at 15x,try runnig at 11,11.5 or 12 x and bump your fsb up.Try something like 12x175.Keep bumping it up until you blue screen then drop it back down.Don't put your vcore past 1.75. I have 1 2400xp on the same board at 12x188@2256 @ 1.75 core.
Runs great,no problems.

Just do the Wire Trick (http://www.geocities.com/arthur_liberman/pinwork) (the upper pic)

use a really thin thread of wire, and short the pic pin-holes in the Socket.
