What OS are you running? I have had problems with creative drivers (as almost everyone here seems to have had). Are you using the drivers that came with the card or newer drivers off their site? ALso here is my advice. If you added this card to your existing system I would redo all of your installs. Here is the problem, sound cards use more IRQ's and other resources than any other adapter, even video. Every book i have ever read says to install your MB drivers, Audio drivers, then the rest of them. Also besides your video card when you install it put the sound card in first and nothing else, then add your other components after you install the sound cards drivers. lastly, look in the sound card properties in the control box, it sounds like mabey you have and IRQ or some type of conflict. You also could re-install your drivers but sometimes it is hard to "really" get rid of all of the old drivers. Reformat, install windows, MB drivers, audio card - audio drivers then go from there. Hope something here helps you out. Mabey re-seat the card also?
