If you're asking whether or not a P4 will die from it's default voltage, it's very very unlikely. The only thing i'd be worried about is temperature, and they have the nice throttling feature which will help prevent thermal related deaths.

you planning on running without a heatsink or something?

no, i mean will overclocked p4
i'm currently running my 1.8a @ 2.4 at defaulth voltage. and this is the rma chip. i already killed one and i dont wanna kill another one. anyone experiencing SNDS at defaulth voltage when oc?

yeah..i seen that. but i dont see anyone who has SNDS that used default voltage. so can i assume it's safe to stay at 2.4ghz at 1.5vcore???

If you want to be safe , don't overclock.

Using default voltage should reduce your odds of failure, but any time you run any component faster then design designation you do put more wear and tear on the part.

How much more is always an open question, with only one way to find out for sure.

1.8A P4 running at 3.1GHz as of tonight ... with stock Intel heatsink.
This is NOT recomended for those who can't afford a new CPU!
(Or don't have a fire extinguisher, for that matter :p )

awesome, what vcore you running at?

My situation is similiar, my 2.26 runs at 1.44v-1.48volts (Default actual) So its undervolted most of the time. If I give it the 15% this BD7II will provide 1.56v actual lol

The default 1.44v gets me 2.8 rock stable ....Gotta love the Abit BD7II and its rock solid voltage performance .......NOT

Silversinksam, please show me a link where someone tested the BD7-II V-CPU with a multimeter. I feel that the real time monitor in the bios may be the issue and not the MB performance. This would be useful info to all of us BD7-II owners.

Hi,
I have Abit BL7 MoBo (P4 1600D at 2.4GHz). Both Bios and MBM
reports Vcore=1.43V-1.45V. Exact value by DMM is 1.469V.

LOL, MBM gets its data from the same place as teh bios...

So Silversinksam, please show me a link i you have the time.

This is the holy grail of the Mobo reviews and testing

(I'm a little confused as to what your asking though, do you want me to do some testing with my multimeter?)
