Anyone have any good uses for a dead, fryed,or crushed cpu? I recenlty crushed my XP 1800 (OUCH) on accident so I drilled a hole in it and now its hanging from my rear view mirror on a small string.

Best use for an Intel chip *LoL* j/k
Use it as a practice unlocker, so that when you unlock your chip for real you dont mess up.

If it's dead how would you be able to tell if you unlocked it right? I mean, you wouldn't be able to tell if it would boot, coz if its dead, no matter what i doubt it would boot, and i doubt you could tell the multi's if it cant boot ;-)
If i ever got me ear pierced, and if processors were lighter, it'd make a prety ghetto earring :D :)

dremel it in to a keyvhain. Wow, a pentium pro keychain? those suckers are heavy.
I have a Duron 1ghz and a pentium III 500 (slot A) to make in to a keychain. The only problem is that both of them still work :( But nobody will want to buy them and I have no use for them.

I think jewelry is the best option for fried electronics.....I would love to use an old ceramic athlon for a keychain or a necklace or something.
Do a project with it. Go pick up some acrylic and buy a frame for it and then put it on your keys as a keychain. It'll look nice however bring back bad memories

ya that woulda been cool to make an acrylic frame out it but already drilled it and it would look strange perhaps. Next chip I blow Ill do that.

I cooked a coupple cpu's and am currently using one as a key chain as a reminder. Know when the limit has been pushed and take more discression the next time you are handling the goods. :D

Your right, but I can say from experience, its hard to join those bridges without the stuff bleeding through the tape. It would be a good idea to practice to get the method perfected.:)
