I was considering making my own blocks. I only plan on water cooling my northbridge and video cards, possibly hard drives also. I am going to be cooling my CPU with a prometia. What I am wondering is would a total aluminium block work good enough for these components. I am concerned about corrosion if I were to make the base out of copper.

Thanks in advance

that wouldnt be a problem at all, forget the copper base for the video card and chipset, just get an aluminum radiator so you wont have to worry about corosion, Make sure to post results of this!
a few guys over at ocau took a vapochill setup and added a gpu waterblock and a BIX to one of the fans from the vapochill, and stuck an eheim behind the compressor, its really neat!
