Hello, was wondering what would happend if i turn my ecc on in my bios and my stick are not ecc did it will damage it or will do nothing also when i O/C my cpu to 140fsb when i start my comp it show speed of 2.38 but if i put higher fsb like 142 it still say 2,38 but in comp info it say real speed of 2,41 why it not show real speed at start up ?? Thank !!

I don't think enabling ECC will do any damage, but your memory will not work.

Yah. Even if you do get your memory to work (assuming that the chips can have ecc enabled -- a longshot at best), ecc is a feature for improving the reliability of your memory at the cost of speed.

As far as your second question, if your computer runs at the speed you expect it to, then the number in the post screen is only a number and not worth worrying about. I am a bit behinf the curve on intel at the moment but it could just be reporting the cpuid. Also 2 mhz is not a big change, perhaps the BIOS is just rounding the actual number down to a limited number of options it is programmed to dislpay.
