I need to get someone a DVD-RW so I need information about the different standards and which one is best and most compatible. I really don't know anything about this stuff. Thanks

just dont go against him, I doubt you will win any argument against his support for DVD+RW :D

The big question is which standard is MS going to support as that decision will obviously effect the market greatly

Anybdy object to that? I also have another question which may sound stupid. Can a DVD+RW drive also play DVDs? Thanks
