Serious Sam

How many of you have played this game? I rented it and was playing it for the last two hours and I must say, it is a lot bette rthan I expected. Annybody else played this and what do u think? Is Serious Sam 2 as good?

Yeah i remember serious sam. Excellent title. The second encounter is awesome, more enemies, larger playing areas, and power ups. I played the secound encounter online multiplayer-coop mode for 24 hours straight on my birthday last year.

i think the weapons are awsome, the engine, everything is sweet. Except fo relectric fish thingys, those don't count though.........

in a serious sam The Secound Encounter online coop server, the admin had the settings all the way up for monsters per player. 24 people were on, and we got to this one part where there were so many kleer skeletons that you could shoot in any direction and hit something. it took over an hour to clear out the area and move on to the next. kleers en masse are not fun

A buddy of mine and I have been playing this together over our mini lan and have been having a blast. For $10 it is a pretty good bang for the buck, and I have been wondering myself if the Second Encounter for $20 is as good of a bargain?

My buddy and I just beat it together last night. I must say, that has to be some of the fastest 8-10 hours that I have ever had go by in my life. The game has so many things coming at you all at once that you dont have time to think about anything else. I cant wait to start over again and beat it again. We are going to go and buy the Second Encounter probably next weekend and give it a whirl. By the way, there is a trick to beating the last monster, and it took us about 2 hours to figure it out lol. PM me if you need some help with it.

Thats one of my ingredients for a top tier game..... replayability!!! A lot of games are great the first time through, but soon loose thier glamour after that. Thats what makes a lot of Blizzard games so great, they have awesome replayability.

the second encounter kicks serious ass!! .. i compared the grass on the open field w/ the grass on UT2k3, and personally think the grass on 2nd encounter looks better ..

I have the Second Encounter and it's great! It only cost me $20, but this was several months ago so you might even be able to get it cheaper now. One of my favorite multiplayer games!

Serious Sam 2 is pretty good, i have it and it is a lot of fun, cool weapons and graphically it is nice. You are right though at first glance it looks and sounds bad but it deserves a chance and when given one it will blow you away.

I saw Second encounter in a bargain bin for $9.99. I bought it for $20 the day it came out and I think its worth alot more.

It's not Serious Sam 2... It's Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, an addition to the first title. Serious Sam 2 will be released sometime in late 2003.

I have the OG Serious Sam, and can only imagine the Second Encounter being so much better from playing the demo.

I love Serious Sam and 2nd Encounter. Intense! Sometimes there is so much coming at you that it boggles the mind. I beat the second one using the normal setting, but I'm having trouble on the "serious" setting. It's a major accomplishment just to survive a level. I just love some of Sam's comments, too funny.

I have Serious Sam and Serious Sam 2. I didn't play it much because I had a crappy computer (Duron 800, PCI mx200) and it didn't run well, but I finished both of the single-player at 640x480.

I have the demo(not sure if the demo level is in the full game though)

What I did was get the hardest difficulty level and enable the GHOST and ALLWEOPENS mode. Fly to the very last part of the level and get up on one of those large columns and wait for the large horde of kamize's. they'll all run to the column. get the RPG and shoot downward. The blood goes EVERYWHERE!:beer:
