View Full Version : T piece position
i going to set up a wc system without a reservoir. My radiator is going to be at the bottom of my case as well as the pump.So what i want to know.....where do i put the T piece.I want to put between wb inlet and the radiator.......my highest point would be the cpu........but what i am going to do.....is when i put the t piece i am going to have an extensing hose for the vertical part up to the top of my case...........is this going to be ok?
also instead of putting T between wb inlet and radiator.....can i put between wb oulet and the pump?
Need advise
i tink it'd be best to have your tee right after or before your pump..
cause water has to flow into your pump for it too work.. unless your going to submerge everntyhing to fill it.. ????

Before or after the pump is not really an issue, the pressures that the pumps perform at are not enough to push water out of the tee fitting. The tee fitting should be at the highest possible point of the cooling loop to allow bubbles to escape from the system. At any rate be sure to cap the tee.

i have no idea wut your talking about..
but its best if you have before or after.. (before would be best) so water can flow into the pump..
if you have the tee flowing watering into a core... no way waters coming out the other end... (usually)

so should i put the T after the pump or can i put T between the radiator and wb inlet?
I usually put mine at the highest point of the loop, i.e: pump->rad->T-line->block->pump.

It really doesn't matter too much where you put the t-line. Just put it where you want it. Just make sure there's enough tubing to make it the highest point.

I have had my after the pump b4 the rad and with this new set up I have it right b4 the inlet of the pump look at it this way after the pump the water is being pushed up you can still fill the system but if you put the "T" b4 the inlet of the pump it is a heck of alot easier to fill the system with out a res.
