View Full Version : Dual Athlon XP 2400+'s? Does it work?

Hello,

I've got the following system: an Asus A7M266D motherboard with a pair of Athlon 1900+ processors in it.

I've applied the latest BIOS update to the motherboard, and would like to install a pair of Athlon XP 2400+ processors in this system. I know that the early Athlon XP processors could be used in a dual, and then there was a hack for later ones.

Can these new 2400+ XP processors either be used out of the box on a dual processor motherboard, or easily hacked so that they will function?

first your mobo bios must support that multiplier of amd xp 2400+ (15x133). which nada I know about your mobo

second, you can unlock XP to work in SMP by follow this article
