hey i was just wondering i have 2 linux server folding and i have samba configure i see the shares fine in my winbox but when i add a new BOX i enter tha name cpu blahblah i add the path. then i hit save edit and save & exit but when i go to view 3Client View they are all the same F@H client.. with is the one on this box C:\F@H the others are on H:\ and I:\ but when i save and check the config again ti shows all 3 as C:\F@H what aim i doing rong?

Enter the path then the name and description then add box, then save and exit. Fold on!!!

okey im trying to get a dual cpu to get f@h proggy on both cpus

it shows as this

Folding 99.9% Cpu
Folding 98.6% Cpu

what i did was

created a user named "folding" in his home created 2 directorys
fahcpu1 fahcpu2 then ran the FAH3Console-Linux.exe and set it up runing 2 diferent id's 1 and 2 so im going to if works right?

also i run EMIII ( new version ) and i set it up fine.

the other problem is that EMIII show some computers as
active but dosent show a time as in. "start" "end" shows all stats as Time remaining: 00:00:00 so im not sure if its a EMII problem or something else? the Fah console on this computer sometimes shows up as 00:00:00 not sure why.

Sometimes it takes a while before info is displayed....
It' doesn't guess about things usually and has to wait at least one frame before calcs appear... once you finish that WU on that system EM should remember it.

oh okey, ya i noticed after a bit they showed up. just found it weair that some times it showed up fast and others took time thanks for the info.



also about the Dual proc is it right?
i mean by the steps i took to set it up?

Yes, two folders, two instances, two machine IDs (1 and 2) and you're set.

but how does it know witch proct to connect on?

also witch proc does the other applications use by default? ( the ones that are not multitreads )

oh ya i was wondering is it okey to get my friends to run F@H on there boxes, with my User Name And Login? also to be able to monitor the stats on there box using EMIII? Might that work?


I'm goign for that i need to enable sharing on there box with a user/pass and allow the world the possibility to access it?

Is there a tutorial on that? or is it normal sharing but open to more then one host or host name.?
