I am assuming that the headphone and mic jacks are the type built into the case? If they are it is really easy but I need to know one thing. What type of connection is at the end of your jacks built into the case? If i know this I can do a quick sketch of how to do this. You will end up running a cable from the back of your soundcard, into your case, and up to the jack on the front of the case. it is the splicing of these two that might require a little tape or solder.

Similar to the pins used to plug front USB ports into the motherboard?

Can’t get a hold of a camera so here goes the explanation. This process will need to be done twice to connect both your input and speaker out put. What you need is either an old pair of headphones or equivalent. I would suggest going to radio shack and picking up a headphone extension as this will work the best. (will need 2) Now you only need to make 4 connections (I hope this is how many you have on your headphone jack that you are hooking up?) Now cut off the end you don’t need, and make sure you have about 2 or so feet left to make the connection from your sound card to your headphone input. You will end up with a small headphone type jack what will plug into your sound card’s input. Now split the two wires down the middle. Strip off the outer shielding about ¾ of an inch down. You will end up with a small wire (ground) and a larger wire that is enclosing the smaller one. Twist the larger wire together and strip off a bit of the shielding off the smaller (inner) wire. Now do the same to the other side. Now cut off the connectors at the end of your wire that is connected to the headphone jack. Strip those wires down a bit. Now how to figure out polarity? That is tough without seeing it, it doesn’t matter as long as they are hooked up the same way. Look on the wire that you just stripped that is connected to your headphone in jack. They should be different somehow, one may have writing on it, one may have ridges, or they may be different colors. Twist the two similar ones together, and twist the other two together. Now on your headphone jack that we are making connect the smaller middle wires together and the two outer larger wires together. Now connect the middle wires to one of you headphone jack input and connect the outer connected wires to the other one. Make sure before you connect everything run the cable we are making out the rear of the case through any hole and connect it to the input jack on your sound card. Repeat this process with the speaker connection. This is hard to explain without pics, I hope you see what I mean,??????
