Logitech Z640 vs Altec Lansing 251CN

Are these a great set of speakers?? Yesterday I bought myself a set of the Altec Lansing AL251CN 5 speakers & sub for a good deal in Canadian $$ ($89 + tax) about $64 US.

I was just surfing newegg and they have the L Z640's for $67 US. I am wondering what is a better buy. Reviews on the Altecs seem decent , just wondering if the 640's are alot better for pretty much the same price??

The Altecs offer 6 channel sound card support and 2/4 channel support.

Malphine is right...and I've heard the Z-640's are the best 'budget' 5.1s around...of course...that's why I got them. :D :D

I get stuff shipped to me from newegg via a helpful friend and I pay no tax as it is sent samples or reviews

I am keeping the AL 251 5.1's as I have heard good things and price was right, plus the 640's from newegg went up in price
