ok i have an old abit bm6 mobo with a 433 in it and i am looking on ebay. I found these two 400mhz celerons SL3A2 and SL37X. So the question is would both overclock to 600mhz or which one?

thanks in advance for the replies!

Slim chance. I bought a 400MHz celeron hoping for 600MHz but it only does around 525 I think, but I no longer have the abit be6-2 board so 500MHz is all ill get. the 300a at 504 is 97% as fast as a 366@550. you need dual ppga 300a at worst 450 at best 600

so then would a 366 be more likely to hit 550 then the 400@600? i have found lots of 366's on ebay but really wondering if they will hit 550.......

I have one at 550 at 2v but it wont do 567 LOL and its 95% stable at 550. I think the PPGA 300s are the best deal. LOL I have 4 that I didnt test yet.

The 366@550 is more likely than 400@600, but it's still a gamble. The best bet is 300a@450 (nearly 100% would do that and I've seen several do 504 with good cooling) and second best chance would be 333@500 (pretty good shot).

333@500 is harder than 366@550 cause the 333's are the old stepping. He needs the 300a

Hello,
I used to have one C366 working @ 550 for over one year, with stock voltage & stock hsf, 110% stable for all the time. And, the cpu temp is low -- never hit 40C.

BTW, mobo is MSI BX, have forgoten the model, 6310 or sth. else...

Just for your reference. Thx!
