Hello fellas,

Just starting my first duallie...got a K7D Master refurb from newegg, and found out my cheapy SVC GC68's don't fit this board(hit some of the cap's & the sinks on the mosfets). Was curious if any1's tried the SK-7's w/ the K7D? I see some posts saying the SLK-800's fit...but they look a tad smaller than the SK-7's. If not, I'll be your guinea pig :p

@ www.svcompucycle.com 's price of $19, they're hard to pass up :D

Spec-Ops said he got SK-7's on his K7D, but it was a really tight fit. I use SVC GC68's ona couple duals and I had one MSI K7D board that was a problem. One of the MOSFET heatsinks was in the way, so I trimmed it a little with some angle clippers, then everything went on fine.

cmcquistion,

Thanks for the reply. I was able to search that fella's name and find a post of him discussing this topic. I tried searching initially, but VBB don't seem to like searching things under 4 letters :D

Here's the post I'm referring to btw....looks like SK-7's it is :)

For $10 more, you can get SLK-800's from svcompucycle.

$20 more for 2 :p

Trying to stay cheap...and some are reporting very good results w/ the SK-7...which should be plenty for what I want to run ;)

But thx for the suggestion!

the sk-7 should fit, but might have to be angled. mine fit w/o much of a problem, and they do an excellent job cooling. right now i'm at 38/38, while the system temp is 31. the highest i've seen so far is 44 (running @ 150*10, 1.725v)...

I got some cheap 25dBA Glacialtech Igloo2310 coolers. Quiet, but my CPU temps are around/just over 50C each.
