I'm going to get a wireless keyboard and mouse
from the reviews i've read the ms wireless explorer3 is alot better than logitechs offerings, unfortunately ms bundles a sorry mouse with their keyboard
Do i
A) buy MS combo
B) buy ms mouse and keyboard elsewhere (where??)
C) buy logitech keyboard combo
please respond if you have any experience with these. on another note. whats the range of those cheap chieftec keyboards on newegg. if its good i might buy that and use it with the wireless explorer.
thanks in advance

I'm using and old logitech itouch cordless combo (about 2 yrs old) .. both devices operate at maximum 2 feet away from the base (on new set of batteries, as batteries drained, so does the distance).
I really love the keyboard .. it uses a new set of AA batteries (duracell) for almost 15 months .. but the mouse doesn't ... on average 5-6 hrs daily usage, it drains new batteries (AAA) power in about 3 months ..
if distance is important to you, the top-of-the-line logitech cordless combo (the optical one) will get you better distance (check their website for exact number) ..
logitech rocks!! :)

My logitech itouch cordless combo may be the same that nut581 has, about the same age. I have 2 of them, one on my machine and one on my wife's. Both have worked well and battery life is very reasonable. I went wireless because I got tired of dragging my mouse off the back of the desk each time I pulled my PC out of its hole.
I'm sold on wireless keyboards and mice. I won't fight about the brand but logitech has served me well so far.

i don't have a wireless keybord (yet) but i do have a logictech wireless optical mouse. other then the batterys going dead every other week it awsome. i would reccomend the model that has a rechargeable battery though. btw, i can get about 5 feet from the base before the signal gets too weak (and these batterys are almost dead, i'm in the middle of the second week)
