View Full Version : Laptops
I am looking to buy a laptop and was browsing around some sites. I noticed that all the non-major brand laptops on sites have been the same. I have seen like five different ones, but many duplicates. Who makes these laptops for the companies?
Wouldn't really recommend buying a cheapo laptop. Probably better to go with toshiba or sony or similar quality. Seen funky problems on cheaper laptops and they are a PITA to fix.
I know, I might do that since there are so many deals now, but I am just wondering...
doh...that was quick...got a pic or link for us?
ummm....www.acessmicro.com has the kind I am talking about. Some are desknotes and some are normal laptops, but they all look the same, so they must come from the same original manufacturer.
You know, I'm surprised that there isn't a store somewhere that sells individual components for laptops so you could build your own. Just like how we can purchase desktop components from all different manufacturers, and build it for a lot less than we could buy it preassembled.
Just my little rant :D

Over 60% of the notebooks are made in Taiwan by a handful of manufactures. Quanta, for example, is actually the biggest notbook maker in the world
