1.4g athlon

I have a 1.4g athlon not overclocked, but i purchased a FOP 32,
but it runs hot, very hot, now running at 55°C at load before i stop it.

I need to find a cooler that colls better than this, even removed the pad and polished it, with artic silver, but not running any cooler,
colls down quick when load is removed to about 40°C still hot,

Please help before i melt this thing.

FOP's are garbage for Athlons. Get the SK-6 or the Glaciator, they seem to be the bad boys on the cooling scene at the moment.

ok thanks for the advice,
now only prob is where do i get them from in the uk
any ideas of a supplier...

had to thottle back to 700mhz to get to below 30°C on the fop32
got to get another hsf
