I'm a n00b to overclocking and I know this question comes up everyday. But I just wanted to hear from someone that I'm not making a mistake, since all situations are unique. ;)

I'll be using the following specs:

1800 Tbred (overclocked to highest I can get)
Asus A7V8X (I know I should have gotten the A7N8X, but too late)
512MB PC2700 Crucial memory
Asus V9280 or V8240 GF4 Ti4200
Maxtor ATA133 80GB HD
Some lame DVD player
Possibly SB Live or onboard sound
NIC or onboard

Case and power supply will be as follows:

ENERMAX EG365P-VE(FM) 350 Watt (has 2 fans on the PSU)
MAXTOP CSX-147K2F-GF-USB (2 ballbearing fans on the case)

I may get 1 more fan if needed.

Mainly I just wanted to know if anyone else has a similar setup and has problems, and if the PSU will be enough for overclocking, or if I need a 400 Watt PSU.

Thanks :)

Hi there and welcome to the forums.

Right now, I'm using the exact same PSU and it's working pretty good. It looks like I'm running more components than you are so I'm pretty sure it will work for your setup. But just to let you know, the voltages do fluctuate a little with the psu. Other than that, the psu is quiet and is very reliable.
