Thanks for the congrats. Getting hard to pin down my "normal" output. I've been adding about 1 or 2 machines a month, got about 17 processors from P166 to oced tbreda 1700s right now.

Problem is, I been traveling much much much lately. Like 3 weeks a month. And each month, SOMETHING crashes. So I get real high output for a week or so, then 6 to 12 per day after something crashes. :-( The traffic is getting a bit heavy for my old dual celeron bp6, which acts as a router, firewall, file server for the whole network, and LTSP server to 8 diskless nodes. Sometimes the network card kicks off, hosing the 8 diskless nodes.

I THINK I can do 50+ WU a day, if I could be here enough to check on things.

If I can get a break, I'm going to install a dedicated router (SMC baricade) and switch my MSI dual 1600 to be my LTSP server, and that should make things go smoother.

BTW cuper, what's your seti name?

Thanks again,

Cuper

OK, looks like about 68 WU per day. I am averaging about 60 per day with the machines connected to the inet. Then say another 8 per day on a couple machines with big setidriver caches, not connected to my home network, cause my hub is maxed out. :-)

$200 buys a lot, lot lot, of WU per day.

Deluxe cruncher
Epox 8k9a + nic, $90, $70 ram, $25 power supply, 1800 XPtbred, $70, HSF $25 = $270, for a system that will SCREAM, 200 FSB easy.

OR, budget cruncher

newegg refurb EP-8K3A (kt333) $40, PC2700 128 meg = $45, 1600XP $55, HSF = $25, power supply = $25, $10 nic = $200, also should hit 180+ FSB. (abit KX7-333 is also $40 if you like :) )

Video, kb, mouse, HD not needed for pure crunchers.

Santa is coming ........
