Is it just the heatsinks that is differentiating the pricing between these?

Corsair CMX512-3200C2 512MB PC3200 400Mhz 64Mx64 184 DIMM Cas2 Memory w/Heat Spreader Retail (http://www.googlegear.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80097)

Some people say that the chips used on the black heat spreader are different from the Platinum ones as they argue the Platinum ones are actually a version 1.1. I have yet to confirm this as there is no available spec sheet data on the different chips they use (at least none that I can find). However, if you look at the search link I provided, a rep from Corsair said that the only difference was the color, so who knows ;).

I just received a 256 meg stick of the XMS PC3200 C2 rev.1.1
and it has a black heat spreader. This came from newegg.com
