I am going to get the SLK-800 and want a good fan to cool it.
I was looking at the Panaflo's at one site but they didn't have rpm monitoring, which I want because this will be cooling the cpu. Was it just this site or do they not come with it at all?
What are the other good/powerfull (cfm) fan's? Noise is not really a factor but quite is alway's good. Just want to cool the cpu the best I can.
Thank's.
I don't think panaflos have rpm monitoring. I have purchased several panaflo case fans and none of them had rpm monitoring. You can go to the panaflo web site to see if any of them do.
here is their URL http://www.panasonic.com/industrial/appliance/appliance_fans_home.htm

you can always jerry-rig an RPM monitering wire to a Panaflo if you know how to soldier. The fans have the headers for RPM monitering, but just not the wire.
i plan on getting this heatsink with a vantec tornado... but your lookin at some real noise there.
(btw. there is an adapter for p4s)

anything but a tornado. You have no idea what you are in for. If you're deadset on one, I'd invest in a fan contoller as well :(
Yeah, I got a Tornado for my SLK-800 and it works really well, but I had to put it on a controller to tone it down. At full speed my CPU temp at full load is only 6C more than MB temp. Turned down to 3900RPM the noise is bearable and differential is still only 9C. Much better than my Volcano 7 which was 15C.
Now I just need better case cooling so the MB temp gets below 30C.

I have a Delta 80cfm but also have a rheostat to make the noise level bearable.
If you want the best performance, you gotta pay the price - loud noise.
i'd suggest an adjustable fan... one that already comes with a rheostat... i personally use the YSTech adjustable 80mm and it's whisper quiet when turned down but can be turned up when needed and when noise doesn't matter (i.e. for gaming, etc)

Don't forget the Thermaltake Smart Fan 2. It is controllable and can go up to 75CFM @ 48dB (so it says anyhow) this is probably the cooling I will get.

Yeah I got the smartfan2. Its ok at cooling the slk800. The lowest temps I have gotten with it at full speed and the case open and no load on cpu is 29 degrees (temps on die).
It comes with a little knob that you can manually adjust the rpm and also a temp probe which will automatically adjust the rpm for you.
At the moment I am using the temp sensor...but its running a little slow for my liking and at load my temps get to 42 degrees celcius (on die) with the case closed. Im planning on placing the sensor somewhere hotter so I should get better performance.
