dont know my bios password!

my parents have this computer, and i put a password on the bios a long time ago, and ive forgotten it, and now i need into the bios to be able to boot from CD. Can i use the jumper that clears the CMOS or am i up the creek without a paddle?

You should be fine if you just clear the CMOS.

you can try to clear the bios or during boot you can hit 'esc' and it should bring up a boot order menu and there you can choose the CDROM.

or pull the battery, UNPLUG THE PC FIRST ;) or just clear the CMOS using the jumper ;D
