Literally. While playing MP3's, my oem audigy often spits out static at me. When I pause the mp3s, the static stops. The static occurs at different spots in different songs, so it's not the recording. I've tried different audigy drivers, all to the same result. Anyone had a similar problem?

I had the same problem but it wasnt my sound card...it was my speakers...just turned down the main volume in the sound control in your task bar...it should probably fix the problem

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it isn't a problem with my headphones. I'll try uninstalling the onboard audio drivers, as I just put the audigy in and just disabled my onboard last week. I don't think it's the card, as it's worked just fine in many other boxes. Thanks for the prompt responces.

Grah. Ok, I unintalled the old onboard drivers, but I'm still getting occasional static. Grrr... I think I'll try some different drivers, or make use the card is seated (prolly not the problem, but it couldn't hurt :D ) and all my connections are good.

UPDATE: Less static after driver update, but still Driving. Me. Crazy.
