heh, there is probably nothing like this but just maybe there is. Its for my laptop since my 8mb ATI vis card just isn't cutting it and I just needed alittle more performance for some older games. Is there such a thing as this?

Never heard of them, but they do make external PCI enclosures for laptops so that you can add full height PCI cards. You could pick up one of those and a PCI video card and get a much better card, but it'll be expensive as hell and PCI cards are pretty much crap, now. Also, if you can't disable onboard graphics, (and it would suprise me if you could, as that is the only method of displaying video on a laptop, really), then that won't do you any good at all. Find that out first. Also I don't know if those enclosures are for Macs only, as those are the only ones I've ever seen.

Thanks for the help Zach it was much appreciated althogh I did find this one http://www.magma.com/pci/1slot_main.html
but for 950 buxs

A new graphic card for the laptop would have been the most economical way for me to play old games like Unreal Tournament when I am away from my house. I guess I will have to buy a old Amd system since I don't have much money for another comp :(

Sorry that didn't help. I know those are really expensive. I think they're aimed at the graphics and audio buffs that will spend that kind of cash, as I don't think that those are too technologically advanced, certainly not enough to warrant a price tag of one grand.

Maybe you'll win the lottery?
