Works now, thanks.
dalnet is dead again........
Because of problems with dalnet(They are under the worst assault that they've been for over a year right now) we have moved to another, smaller network.
The main address server is irc.zirc.org
the channel is still #ocfoldingteam
The SETI channel is moving there too.
A relay is being installed to link several networks, including zirc, efnet, dalnet, undernet, ircnet so that this won't be a problem in the future. The relay isn't yet ready but it should be soon.

In the 'status' window, type /server irc.zirc.org
Press enter, and when it connects type in /j ocfoldingteam

zirc works, and i'll bookmark these servers... thanx
the sucky thing is that i have to be on dalnet anyways, so i'm connected to 2 servers at once... and that eats up a lot of my ram... grr... oh well  dalnet should get reliable again within the next week...

Yeh, dalnet has been up....its just the fact that like my area has been abusing privelages (wtf?) and i cant connect to server unlesss i do something and it wont work.
I say we stay with zirc, or go with undernet like baqai said...its a LOT simpler...but eh thats just my one thought.
For anyone having problems such as Mr. Chambers, post your status log so we can help you.
Make sure you have Port 113 open since you need ident to be able to login to these servers.

Wow I did not see the date.
lol
I think it could be the same deal though. Especially with all the attacks on Dal.net.

Just forward port 113 to the ip of the computer you are using mIRC. There should be directions in the manual. If you need help just:
1: http://192.168.1.1/DHCP.htm go to that in your browser.
2. Enter default password. I think it is admin admin but check your manual.
3. GO to setup and change the username.
4. Go to password and change password.
5. Memorize password and username
6. Click DHCP
7. Click DHCP clients table
8. Find the IP of the computer mIRC is on.
9. Click advanced
10. Click forwarding
11. Enter service port range : 113 113
12. Enter Protocol : Both
13. Enter the last three digits of the IP of the computer with mIRC on it.
14. Click Apply
that should be it:D
