I am running at the moment my 1.4Ghz system as standard.
The temperatures are 52C CPU and 43C Chassis
I'm running with a Coolermaster EP5-6I51
Are these temperatures high?
I am also running a Voodoo 5 5500 PCI 64Mb which is powered separately by the PSU, does this work the system harder causing the higher temperature?
Getting Geforce 3 next week, just want to make sure that everything is okay.

It would seem that those temps are a tad warm.
But there are a few questions:
How good is the air flow within your case?
What is your normal air temp where you use the computer?
Is the heatsink seated well, and if so was a proper amount of heatsink paste applied?
As for the Voodoo card, it shouldn't make your system run any harder - It could make your power supply work harder, and if it is not blowing hot air out of the system (alot of no name ones blow it inwards) it could be heating you system up more.
hope that helps
cheers!
You arent the only one with 1.4 temp problems. I have been through 4 heatsinks and two cases trying to get my temps normal. Finally, I can run in the low 40s and middle 30s C on mine. I have an Antec SX-1030 case, got supa airlfow! And trying out my new Swiftech SCX-370. I would suggest ditching that coolermaster and getting a Thermalright SK-6 or Glaciator. I have had the best luck with those two so far. And perhaps improving the airflow in your case. It also helps to have the AC on in your place if it isnt already, makes a 10C dif for my bird.
What other mods have you done to the case if any? How many fans etc??
