When I turn on the computer, fans and leds go on, but the monitor stays off. It beeps a continous rate. I can't find what that means with phoenix bios. Thanks for any help.

The computer:
GA-7DXE motherboard
generic ram
amd 2000+ xp
Bloody Monster Geforce4 TI 4200

This computer was just built. Nothing has been swapped or anything.

I know my setup (4G4A+ AND P4 1.8A @ 2.664) Beeps when my temps are looking bad (above 60 i think), so thats were your problem may lay, i'll assume you havent overclocked (or hoped, either). so who ever may have putt this thing together (let it be you or a pro  ) Must have either put the heatsink on wrong, or something like 1-Man-Army said.

make sure everything is plugged into the f-panel correctly and try taking out your vid card and putting it back in.

Also, make sure all the CPUs pins are straight and in the socket correctly.

I tried everything. I took out the video card, tried a working one, same problem. Put the Bloodymonster in, same problem. Made sure cpu is in right, made sure heatsink is on right. and made sure all cables and everything is in right. Everything looks correct. I dunno. Thanks for the help.

Take everything apart (I no its a lot of work but trust me). I mean EVERYTHING. Cable, take the mobo out, cpu out, heatsink off, etc... Then put it back together. The same thing happened to me. I was positive I had it right. When I took everything apart and reassembled it worked.

If that doesnt work, try a new or old video card you are sure works.
