windows system error

i have a duplicate name exists on the network error.im using windows xp i have 2 network cards installed and am using ics to share the internet however its not setup yet i just reformatted.any help would be appreciated

Right click on My Computer, go to properties, then Computer Name. Make sure that both computers don't have the same name as each other under Full Computer Name. If they do, change one.

I noticed that this happens w/ 2 nic's in a computer. I haven't figured out a way to fix this problem, except to get rid of one nic. If you happen to find a way, let me know. I think that this link might help

The only way to stop it coming from 2 NIC is one machine is to make sure they both aren't on the same subnet.

IE make sure one is 10.0.0.x and the other is 192.168.0.x
