Splinter cell for x-box?

Have any of you played this? I dont want to get it and not like it and waste the money. I tried renting it (i usually rent before i buy) but they only had 3 copys and 1 hasnt been returned yet and the other 2 are still out =/. Btw this is Tom clancy's Splinter cell for xbox

I tried it last nite on my uncles XBox. I cannot give a good review since I am partial to pc games but it looked pretty nice. Games that involve sneaking(ie thief) do not appeal to me. My Uncle loves the game though. I can say the graphics look nice and I will likely try it on the pc when the demo comes out.

I've spent the last 3 playing it for about 8 hours a day. If you buy one game for the XBOX, this is the one to get. Graphics are top notch, and its about as good as they get. Also the mission are hard and long, so it won't be a game you just beat the first couple days after you get it.

I highly recomend it.

dont listen to all these nay-sayers. The game is SWEET. right now in my opinion, it and Halo are the only reasons to own an x-box. it is way better than MGS imo.

I have talked to three people this week who bought an Xbox just so they can have Splinter Cell. Stupid?? Yes. But I think it goes to show how much of an impact this game is having on the console comunity.

i was just joking about the nay-sayer remark. but its all about tastes really. one game may great to one person, but to another it seems like crap. if you like stealth games then this is the best of the best. if not then it may seem alright only. personaly i really like stealth games thats why its so much fun to me.

why would anyone buy an xbox just for splinter cell?!? its coming to pc, gc and ps2 in a matter of months...course thats the first person i have heard of buying an xbox not for halo. that brings the tally for people who have bought the xbox for games other than halo to 4,000,000 - 1

For the same reason people bought PS2's for GTA3 and GTA VC.

Where did you hear Splinter Cell is coming out for GC? I heard something about it coming out for PS2, but not GC.

If you really want to enjoy this game get it for Xbox, or PC when it comes out, but that depends on how powerful your PC is.

it will prolly play best on the x-box cuz it was made for the x-box. The rest will just be ports

yeah the other 2 are missing features like pixel shaders and such from what i understand. from a completely hardware standpoint the xbox blows away the ps2 and the GC. but we all kow it comes down to games and gameplay.

I'm not even sure if PS2 and GC can handle dynamic lighting. Even though there was never any slow down in the game, I find it hard to belive that the Xbox's hardware was not being taxed by Splinter Cell.

I like long and hard missions. I would assume it has diffculty settings for missions like 007 golden eye for 64? (comparison only) Have you also played Hitman 2 for xbox? Im really debateing because i have heard good reviews on both of them..

I played the Hitman 2 Demo for PC. Its was good, but I didn't have much time to get into it b/c of school.

A kid on my team has Hitman 2 for XBOX. He likes it alot. Both are great games.
