I was thinking of moving my computer outside, Granted, I will need to put lotsa antifreeze in my system, since it is 5 degrees outside here in Michigan. What kinda performance would I get with 5 degrees (farenheight btw) on the hot side of my 226 watt pelt? Good question! I don't have a temp probe. . . so that sux, I will just have to settle for on die temps then? How accurate are on die temps assuming they are in negative farenheight enviroments?

I presume you mean sticking your res outsde. putting the whole rig outside might cause some problems

With 5 deg on the hot side, you should get some pretty chilly temps- it just depends on how much power you are puping through that thing and what the delta t is. your temps should definetly below 0c.

Many mobos do not read temps below 0c- some wont even boot. On die temps seem to be ok as long as they are above 0c- at least they are on mine (ive only gotten down to 10c on the proc with my setup)

I plan on bringing either the whole thing, or just the heatercore and/or resevoir. Bringing everything out there I thought would let me overclock my ram and FSB a tad further. I can't really see any complications, it is very dry outside, humidity is definately not a problem.

The heat from the various other components (vid card, northbridge, ram) would probably cause enough of a temp gradient to cause condensation. Besides, couldnt someone just steal your rig that way?

well no, I dont think condensation would accure. As long as inside of the computer is warmer thin outside you should be just fine, and I dont see any reason why it would be colder inside your computer thin outside:rolleyes: Sounds like a good idea, stick some big heatsinks in it and get some delta fans (noise shouldnt be an issue if its outside and your inside) that blow the outside air into the case and you should have some very nice temps.
