Got me 9700 Pro!!

Just bought me a ATI radeon 9700 pro brand new in retail BOX factory seal for $250 with shipping. now gonna get me my klipsch 5.1

where from??? Good price. Can you notice the differences between G4 and Ati??? What were your benchmarks with 4600 and now the 9700??

i had the Ti4600 before as well going to the ATI 9700pro (i got the ATI one cause i was able to trade in the full value of my Ti + $150 cash canadian funds) (the car new here is $600)

aaaanyways :) there was about a 1100 point jump in 3dmark (my cpu is the bottleneck) but the real diff i noticed is i can play "ALL" my games with 6x AA and 16x AF completely smooth while only loosing maybe 10fps here and there give or take 3fps

I didn't get it yet, it shipping. coming soon, Going to get more and start selling on ebay to get atleast $100 extra per card. Right now, I only get 13092 with the 4600 and heard that by default many people got 15000+ on a 9700 with my specs.

In Canada the 9700 is very pricey. I would like to get my hands on one if you have a reliable source.:D

You can find OEM powered by 9700 Pros for around $275 on price line if anyone really wants one for close to $250, but its isn't retail.

Actually........The man is probably not lying........I've looked on pricewatch.com and saw the radeon 9700 for $250 but not the pro version........I believe I saw the pro version for 275-300.........here's the site........Take a look for yourself..........www.pricewatch.com

actually, it a friend of my brother. he own a computer store and get them at wholesale price with bulk orders. many of his customers want the videocard and he order them, but some back off , and that how i got them for cheap. and if you want retail, on ebay they sell for $270-310 brand new in box. Last time i saw some dude put buy it now for $200 but was couple of second late because someoen bought it. Right now I'm looking to see if he have or can get klipsch promedia 5.1 expecting to get them for $275
