3" CCFL for $17.99

i just got back from advance auto parts, and i picked up an awsome 3" CCFL for modding, it is designed for cars, but the inverter is in its own seperate enclosure and the ccfl plugs into the inverter all i need to do is cut off the cigeret lighter end and put on a molex and away i go.

That's cool that you got a light, but at www.svcompucyle.com you can get two 12" CC's for 17.99.

I can think of many uses for a 3" CCFL where LEDs would be too much trouble, and 12" CCFLs are way to big....

yes this one is going in a cd-rom. i currently have a 10,000mcd green LED in there, and its just too much. also, these are made by Street Glow which has a good reputation. and with this i don't have to worry about as much wireing.

yeah they're bright, but you can get 18,000mcd ones too. just thought i would point this out to people. they're sold under the OPTX brand of Street glow. the only place you can get them is advance auto parts and discount auto parts.
