No pic when playing video clips...

Well my problem is that when I try to play a vid clip (only tested .avi and .mpeg) I don't get a picture. Sound is just fine, but there is no picture, just a blank background, as if something was about to be played. I tried using Windows Media Player 8.0 and DivX 2.0 (with the 5.0.2 codec), but the results are the same. I don't remember doing anything like adding any codecs, and the files worked the last time I used them. I don't know if this matters, but on the thumbnail images the beginning of the clip is there like it always was. Anyone have any idea or a suggestion?

sound like a corrupt codec, try reloading the codec and see if that works.

How do you do that?
Would I have to uninstall then reinstall all my codecs?

no they should just overwrite themselves...
