View Full Version : How Many Computer Can You Have Wireless
I was just sitting here looking a my lil network...I have the Linksys Wireless AP Cable\DSL Router 4 port swtich..its the BEFW11S4 Ver 2 on...
I know i can physically connect 4 computers directly to the router...and more using the uplink port..."blah blah blah" but my question is...How many computer can this router handle "WIRELESS"...is it as many IP address DHCP can dish out...or is it limited to the same amount as avaliable ports?
I'm interested in hearing the answer to this question as well, so *bump*

the number of ip's it can dish out is A LOT so you would probably be limited on the number of frequencies the transmitters and receivers could work on. B/c no two computers could run on the same freq.

usually it depends on the wireless transmitter you bought, in my case, mine can support up to 16 simultanous connections.
I agree with New_Novice. So....
RTFM :D

I posted the version that I have in the first part of the thread...but I can't find it in the manual that came with it...
