2-4-4-8 or 2-2-2-4? I am wondering cause i look at the platinum xms and it says it is rated at 2-4-4-8. Is the higher number the better?

The lower the numbers, the faster the memory is suppose to be able to function. For the very high speed memory (3500 for example), you may see these numbers creep up as the best they offer.
