hello guys. heres my problem. i installes 2 80g 8mb cache wd drives into my (built in)raid controller on this board. went into the raid bios and made the drives 0+1 it worked fine. i go to install windows 2k and it loades all the drivers for raid, EVEN the one im using and it cant find any drive. what exactly am i doing wrong?

do i need a "non" raid hdd for os?

or what else could be the problem??

p.s also posted in epox, do to the fact it may be board related.

Have the latest drivers for your RAID controller on a floppy, and hit the F6 key during the initial setup when booting from the Win2K CD. Ought to do the trick.

RAID 0 + 1 requires 4 HDDs not 2. How could you have set the Array & Mirror with just 2 drives?

As far as I know, you'll have to get one. If there is another way to do it, I don't know of it. For RAID, SCSI, and some PCI ATA controller cards, it is the only way to make them work with Windows. On the bright side, they are cheap and easy to find.
