BF1942 refresh problem

I cant play Battlefield in anything but 60Hz - so I have had to turn off my refresh fix...

I have set the allow all refresh thing to 1 in the videodefault.con...still no go - anyone know why it would be doing this?

Have you updated your drivers lately? Most refresh fixes don't work after a driver update. Or need reinstalled and reconfigured after a driver update.

I found a solution that works for me...although from what I have seen of others with this problem its just a random combination of obvious fixes...

my fix involved using a refresh override - although the one in DX failed to work...the one in rivatuner did :S

set the refresh rate in your config files i forget which 1 i think it in dir x:\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings\Profiles\Custom and then in video.con open it and u should have a line with something like game.setGameDisplayMode 1024 768 32 85<-- final number being refresh rate

Try this: Go to the bf1942 folder then...Mods/bf1942/settings/video default. Open video default with note pad. This line: renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 0....change the 0 to a 1. Now you will have lots of refresh rate options in the game. I also discovered when I changed my drivers it went back to a 0....so you need to recheck it after updating video drivers.:D
