you have got to be kidding me. my L1 bridges must be defective. they are about the size of the period at the end if this sentence. ya..thats it. theres NO WAY i'm gonna be able to connect them with the defogger paint. it took me 10 mins just to get the gaps filled with crayon correctly!

ok..i unlocked it so i thought. it boots up. but when i change the multipliers via the board, (gigabyte 7vax), it won't post. well i only tried 10.5x, maybe its just that one, but iunno. since it boots, i'm assuming i didn't mess up the unlocking. it's also 15C cooler w/ my new heatsink and some as3 so its not blowing up or anything. i thought i read that people w/ this problem needed to reset cmos..do i need to do that after unlocking?

You may need to clear cmos after unlocking. Its also possible that you did not get it unlocked. If the chip you have is a green and not a brown then there is a clear coating over the bridges that must be removed. Otherwise you will not get good contact.

hmm..i'm not sure what color my chip was. i didn't see any coating, i'll play round and reset cmos

resetting the cmos is recommended once you remove/install a new chip.

do that and make sure ur at the newewst bios upgrade also.

those 2 things might help, good luck.
