Just got this heatsink and am gonna use an 80cm smart fan II with it, but I can't get the retaining clips in place to hold the fan down..seems like they're too big for the smart fan. Is there a particular way to put the clips on..like before you install the heatsink or after..?

there are a few sets of clips..try em out and find the right set. i put heatsink on first then fan, but i'm not sure if it matters. i know it was ezier for me to clip in hs w/ the fan off

One of the sets of clips should definately fit...I think my came with 4 pair. It was eaiser for me to install the fan after mounting the heatsink. But mounting the fan first wasn't that bad. Just try some of the other clips and you should be good to go :beer:
