i read the faq, which led me to believe that no bridges need connecting, nor does any tampering need to be done to the processor. you merely go into bios and change settings.

then i read the link to the xtreme forum thread. this led me to believe (though it referred only to the 2200) that although only one bridge, a bridge does need connecting.

anyone care to shed some light?

also, while this is very much personal preference/opinion, is the 2200 worth an extra $80 to the 1700?

one last thing-- the 1800 and 2200 are both out as tbred B right?

this all depends on the mobo you are using.
tbreds show as unlocked on the multis 12.5 and up on kt333.
connect the 5th L3 to unlock the lower multis.
kt400 and nforce2 the chips will be fully unlocked.
17-18-2200 tbreds are revA
2400 and up are revB fas as known.
